The new and improved Iron City Sports Bar will be open for dine-in service starting on Thursday May 21st, 2020 at 4:00-10:00PM. Here’s what you can expect and how to make the most of dining in at Iron City!

With guidance from the Ohio Restaurant Association and our Governor’s restaurant advisory group, as well as working with our local Logan County Health Department officials, we have a reformatted our dining room and bar to ensure you and our staff’s safety. Tables and booths have been appropriately distanced 6’ OR you will notice that we are “skipping” certain booths and tables to ensure proper distancing.

You can also call ahead to schedule a reservation, or to talk with one of our hosts about special seating requests and groups of 6-10. We are permitted to accept groups of up to 10 guests that we can seat together, and we do have the ability to accommodate this but we ask that you call ahead so we can plan accordingly for you!

We are also gladly welcoming walk-in traffic to dine at any time, but in the event we are at capacity or unable to accommodate your party, we will be able to quickly share this information with you when you arrive – one of our curbside hosts will greet you. If there is going to be a wait, that will be communicated with you and we will ask that you wait in your vehicle and we can text alert you when your table is ready!
The bar seating is very limited due to the restrictions and guidance provided by the state at this time, and it will be available on a first come first serve policy.
We also have semi-private party room called The Press Box and it can seat up to 10 guests that arrive as a group. This must be reserved by calling in advance.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It’s going to look a little different, and feel a little different, but we’ve developed what we feel is the best way for us to provide you with the best experience possible when eating out in Logan County.
Enter the building and you will be greeted by one of our Safety Service Staff Members/Hosts and if you have called ahead or made a reservation online they will be able to communicate with you about your reservation and seat you and your group.
If you did not call ahead or make a reservation online – that’s ok! However, our Safety Service Staff/Host will communicate with you what available seating options we have available at that moment, and if there is a wait time they will share that with you and ask you to wait in your vehicle temporarily.
We will TEXT ALERT you when your table is ready in the event that we have a wait time.
DURING YOUR DINING EXPERIENCE
Your table, booth, seats, etc, will have been cleaned and sanitized before you are seated and marked with a SANITIZED sign which will be removed upon seating.
Your Customer Engagement Staff Member/Server will stand approximately 3’ away from your table. They will be wearing a face mask. They will greet you, explain how our menu works and provide you with a QR code based menu for food, alcohol menu and an opportunity to quickly (with one click) join our new Iron City Rewards Program (which gets you a free order of Buckeye Bites for joining!).
It is your choice and personal decision to wear a mask or not while inside Iron City. We have disposable masks available to provide you if you request one.
Our Servers have been asked to make less frequent trips to your table to ensure less contact – however – that does not mean we are not readily available or will be walking the floor to check in and see if you need anything. You can simply raise your hand if you have an immediate need or question and we will quickly stop by your table.
Your receipt for your meal will be delivered to your table shortly after your food arrives and our Server has checked in with you to ensure you have everything you need. If you wish to pay you can do so when you are finished dining by simply hovering the camera on your phone over the QR code on your receipt and you will be automatically redirected to a safe online payment portal that is connected to our point of sale system.
With just a couple clicks you will be able to make payment, and we will confirm at our final check-in with you and your table to ensure payment was accepted or if you prefer to pay traditionally and our server can easily accommodate that as well.
We do accept cash and card still. We prefer you use card if able however.
When you are finished paying and ready to leave, simply follow the walking outline on the perimeter of the floor plan towards the FRONT EXIT, you will notice that we have a large TV display on the wall by the FRONT EXIT displaying “live” camera angles of the front door, sidewalk out front and parking lot so that you can see if there is any incoming customers and you can safely wait your turn in our spillover safely distanced lobby by FRONT EXIT.
